Review Roundup

A new review of my book has been published at Terraverum, which arrived at an opportune time - it's always good to hear a bit of encouragement during the revision phase.

Earlier in the summer I had sat down with the intent on querying book blogs, but I stopped after I realized I was running out of time. Summer is my best opportunity to get some writing done, and book II won't write itself.

I think it's worth noting that self-publishing doesn't exempt you from learning the art of the query letter. Instead of querying agents, though, you're querying for reviews. Without a publicist and connections to the brick-and-mortar giants, those reviews are very important. Over the early months of summer I had learned many of the dos and don'ts, and at some point I'll get around to sharing them.
