It's been a couple of years since A Foundation in Wisdom was released, so I thought I'd drop an update on how things are going. It turns out, there's no easy route to publishing. Fortunately, I already realized that long before jumping in the pool. But it's important to reiterate to anyone else who has caught the "I want to publish myself" bug--it's not easier--or harder--but it is different. So, know what to expect. Of course, that's good all-around advice. I'm actually not doing too bad in Eastern North Carolina. Publishing is a business. And, like any business, you can expect to lose money while it grows. Somewhere I read that the average

It's been a long few months wrapping up An Ember in the Wind, but it's finally finished! Ember is my second novel, one from which much of the artwork I've uploaded here over the years illustrates. The Jacksonville, NC Barnes and Noble is helping me launch the book. If you're in the area and looking for something to do, come check it out! I'll be there after noon. An Ember in the Wind Website Synopsis: Ideas are like embers; they spark from some great fire, fly free, and glow for a while on their own. Some flicker out before they land. My "identity" as a writer can be tenuous as times - which has nothing to do with encouragement or discouragement. Rather, it fluctuates depending on where my interest lies. I'm more interested in stories. The medium by which I get them out there is a function of what I feel works best... and it's not always in print (or e-ink). I also like to

Hey Merrak! Thank you for the fave on Megalomania! How have you been?
Hi! Megalomania looks pretty cool. Admiral Bubbles is great :D  I've been super busy and haven't been on DA much at all. I've recently expanded into game development, which has given me a new perspective on the world of publishing.

I see you graduated (late congratulations!). Whatever happened to the "Fjord and the Furious" game? I still like the idea.
Hey Merrak! :greetings:

I knew it. I was in the middle of job hunting then I found you here! =) Your paintings are amazing! :buymyprints:
